We are seeking an Investment Analyst intern for the summer of 2023 that will join our rapidly growing team.  The ideal candidate will be a rising Junior/Senior undergraduate student who is interested in learning about the career path of an investment analyst in a fully immersive professional and educational experience.  At Pier Asset Management you will have the opportunity to leverage your skills, take an active role in the firm and make a positive impact on the business. Our strategy involves investments across industries in consumer, small business, and real estate segments which means that there is never a dull day on the investment team!
 

Every team member, including interns, play a critical role in the firm’s success and have direct interaction with principals, clients, and deal counter-parties.  
 

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role that requires at least 2 days/week in our Manhattan Beach, CA offices.

What you'll do

• Conduct market research and build models analyzing credit assets

• Prepare in-depth valuations and financial analysis of existing and prospective investment opportunities

• Calculate financial metrics on our fund portfolio or individual investments

• Assist the investment team and other firm principals in special projects related to the funds or the general partner

• Prepare and present critical analysis of deals or fund performance communicating patterns, insights, and discrepancies
